KRISTY'S MINI MENAGERIE

Hello and welcome, anybody who may come across this little blog of mine! I've just started this blog, and plan on focusing on miniatures, animals, and miniature animals. However, I'm also hoping it can be a fun place to talk about just about anything. We'll see.........

They can't always help themselves - it's up to us!

This is Pip. Her mommy was trapped and killed when she was less than 3 weeks old and was left helpless and starving. She is just one of the many animals that have been given a second chance at life thanks to Rascal Rescue. Check out "The Laughing Raccoon" Blog. You can read about the raccoon families and other critters and enjoy looking at photos of some of the cutest little animals ever, like Pip here. There is also a donation button where you can donate through paypal, if you'd like to help out.
Thank you everyone, and a big thanks to Deanna of Rascal Rescue for taking such good care of our furry friends.

  1. They are all over my neighborhood. They are so cute. I had a baby one that kept coming to my sky lights to play with the cat through the glass. It was adorable.
They are also pests... They get in peoples attics and cause all sorts of trouble. LOL We have a company here called Critter Ridder.

  3. Oh, she's adorable! It's great that some people help those little fellows :) I've been in the last couple of days helping little baby birds - they are learning how to fly but stand in the middle of the street so been catching them and putting them to sit in a branch :D

  4. That's great Ira! :)
If they're so helpless that a person can catch them, then I'm sure they would be no match for a car (or the neighborhood cat for that matter).

  5. I agree animals do need our help, after all we are encroaching on their territory and groups such as this deserve our support. Good job everyone who does their bit!

  6. what a cutie Pip is. I think sometimes as humans we forget that animals have just as much rights here on Earth as we do. I applaud anyone that dedicates there time and energy to helping out our fellow creatures :)

  7. Kim, I see you are a new follower of The Laughing Raccoon blog, YIPPEE!!!

You're absolutely right Margaret and Kim. Thank God for these people! :) And yes, of course they should have the same rights as us. I don't understand how people can think otherwise. That's SPECIESISM: discrimination in favor of one species, usually the human species, over another.
I have to warn you Kim, not only has the blog put a smile on my face many times, it's also almost had me in tears and very angry many times as well.

  10. Hi Karin!!!!!! I saw your post, it made me so happy! :)
I love to read about the animals, they all have names and their own personalities. A continuing saga, lol. And the photography is so fantastic! I think Deanna could be a professional wildlife photographer if she wanted to be, no question.

  11. Kristy...I can't thank you enough for your support, kind words and for spreading the word to everyone else!! You have all put a big smile on MY face with your kind words and for listening to me tell my stories! Most of my dealings are with people who harm animals which is why I end up with them ....it is wonderful to hear from you all and deal with kind hearted people who actually care about them!! sniff, sniff......I'm so warm and fuzzy right now!!!! Thank you!
