KRISTY'S MINI MENAGERIE

Hello and welcome, anybody who may come across this little blog of mine! I've just started this blog, and plan on focusing on miniatures, animals, and miniature animals. However, I'm also hoping it can be a fun place to talk about just about anything. We'll see.........

A rare photo of the elusive Voodukoocoo bird

And here is the bird feathered and flocked. Took most of the day and there are tiny feather trimmings everywhere, LOL. I have no idea what kind of bird this is, just a fantasy bird of some kind.

I just had to take a picture of my work area with feathers everywhere. When I took this, I thought it can't get any worse. But it got a lot worse!! In fact looking at this picture now, it looks pretty damn tidy compared to later. I just didn't bother to take another picture of it, LOL.

  1. Oh, wow! This bird is absolutely fantastic!!! Feathers make a lot of mess always.;) But I do think there is not much mess on the photo you showed Kristy. ;)

  5. Since childhood I dreamt of having a Voodukoocoo bird! Now that I know, how he looks like, I'd love to have him even more! LOL
I think the witch mouse made a very strong sleeping potion - and he inhaled way toooooooo much...

  8. Wow I didn't have to wait long huh :-)

He is awesome. I love how you've finished him off. Not too fluffy and just the right amount of feathers.

Well done...he really is fantastic and I love the name lol

  9. Kristy- I really didn't think I would love it as much with the feathers, but now I have to take it back because the feathers totally make the bird- I am in love with him/her. Ira is going to be so thrilled when he/she flies to her home! ♥

  10. Thanks guys!
Susan, I was given some specific colors to work with. Two colors mentioned were olive green and pumpkin orange. I thought I'd use those two together since it was to be a fantasy bird.

Margaret, I think he looks like a baby because of his over-sized head, LOL.

Andrea & Catherine, too funny!! That silly name just popped into my head when I was posting the pics late at night. But it can be whatever Ira (or whoever ends up with it) wants it to be :P

  11. OH damn, I'm slow this morning (no coffee yet). By the time I posted my comment there were three more.

Thanks so much Jayne and Kim!!

Ira, he/she can be whatever you want. I'm sure you can come up with a better "species" than I, LOL.

  17. Kristy. once again after being out of the loop for a spell I come back to find more surprises from you! I love everything! Your little bird is too cute, and of course has your signature facial expression, which makes him even better! While you're doing birds, how about a Phoenix? If he doesn't turn out you can just torch him! LOL!

Kristy, you really can flock! I had so much trouble just trying to add a tail to a parrot. Another ab fab little friend from Kristy :). You know all your animals will be so loved wherever they go, right? How can anyone resist them?
