KRISTY'S MINI MENAGERIE

Hello and welcome, anybody who may come across this little blog of mine! I've just started this blog, and plan on focusing on miniatures, animals, and miniature animals. However, I'm also hoping it can be a fun place to talk about just about anything. We'll see.........

Weeeeeee Mouse

Wow, it feels like forever since I visited blogland but it hasn't even been two weeks (eeek, I think I may be a blog addict). Well one big Holiday down and one to go, and I don't know about you guys but I am sooooo not ready for Christmas this year! I can't believe another year has already passed.
I just finished this little squeaker. I made several walnut shells in different sizes because there really is an unlimited use for them when it comes to mice. They can be used for a bed, a sled, a boat, a motorcycle side car, lol...to name just a few.

  2. Oooooh he's cute! I love his sled and bright red scarf. I haven't see you use that color on a mouse before I like it!!!
I went looking for bamboo yarn here for you. No one has any. I was shocked because the needle shops are all carrying bamboo embroidery threads. I also called the knit shops in town. ???

  11. Welcome back to blogland! It's funny to read that some have picked this cutie in their comments as their favorite... well, I could never be able to pick a No. 1 out of your critters - whatever you do, have done or will do - I love it... ;O) This little guy would have a lot of fun these days around here in the very northern part of Germany - I'm shoveling snow the whole day long *sigh*

    Have a great Sunday!

  21. I don't think there is a thing I can say that hasn't already been said...except that you must simply keep on doing this! I don't know from where your inspiration springs but the Muse is clearly talkin' to you! I just love each and every one of these adorable critters..

  22. Thanks so much Cate, Ewa, Tabs, Victoria!!!
Tabitha, I think my inspiration comes a lot from all of you other miniaturists. That and maybe all the cartoons I watched when I was young, lol. I've got an enormous ever-growing list that I keep whenever an idea comes to mind. It's going to take forever and a day to finish making everything on that list so it makes me happy to hear you tell me to keep doing this, LOL.

  26. Oh wow, I really like all your little creations, but this one is by far my most favorite and I will tell you why:
My father Allways used to sing a song to me when I was little and we went for walks in the forrest. It was about a little mouse that found a nutshell and build himself a bike to ride down the hill.
It is a very precious memory and when I saw this little fellow going done the hill in his nut it all came back to me;-)
    Wonderfull!
    Kind regards,
    Marieke
