I just finished this little one inch mouse who's running away from home. He's got his little hobo stick and a companion to keep him company (tied to a rope for safe keeping, lol ). So how many of you ran away from home when you were a child? I did, but never made it more than a couple blocks and a few hours. :-p
LOL.....so funny! I ran away from home with a handkerchief tied to the end of a stick (I was trying to be dramatic) and made it as far as around the house. I hid on the side of the house while my mom stood at the door calling my name out.......lol. I have no idea what I put inside my little bundle. Where did I think I was going......lol.
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so funny and sweet!
ReplyDeleteI never ran away from home when I was little. I would LOVE to do it now though. lol
LOL Catherine! I thought pretty much every kid does at least once - well it's not really running away when you don't go far or stay away for long.
ReplyDeleteLataina, that's hilarious!! I don't even remember why I did, but I'm sure I was just having a little temper tantrum or wanting attention, lol. And oh yes, it must be dramatic with the whole packed bag - but it cracks me up that you actually tied a handkerchief to a stick like in the cartoons, hahaha.
I never ran away, I just wanted to go shopping by myself at age two with my pram (birthday gift and had a 3 month old brother) like mommy. I can't remember it but she always tells about how she had to run after me trying to catch up with me before I dissappeared in the Saturday shopping crowd, that was way back when shops closed at 1pm on Saturday and stayed closed until Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteKristy, I love him!!!! LOL.....too cute! I am with Catherine on this subject....I feel like running away now once in awhile! Never as a child!!
ReplyDeleteFunny and sweet!!! Adorable friends :0)
ReplyDeleteI have no words to describe how sweet they are!
ReplyDeleteCute and tender is not enough.
Sweet swet sweetie !!!! I never run away, my brother did at the age of 4. He went down the flight of stairs of our condo to the entrance hall. Then he was too small to open the door thus he sat on the first step waiting for someone who might open for him. My Mum run after him and took him back at home. He was in his PJ and a rain coat. We still wonder where he wanted to go.Have a nice day, Rosanna
ReplyDeleteThis is just the sweetest little mouse. I love him.
ReplyDeleteI did run away, but I was 14. I took money out of my bank account and bought a ticket to fly to New Jersey (I live in Maine) to my grandmother. She put me on a bus and sent me home!!

They are soooooo sweet!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to run away once, but my favorite plush toy at that time was a bear, who was almost as big as me. A friend of my mother won him at a fair and she gave it to me. The first night I had him, he was sleeping with me in my bed and I fell out, because he needed so much space. I couldn't take him with me, so I decided to stay. True love!
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI did. It was in the winter and I taking my skies
and runaway from home a couple of hours.
I was 10 years old. And when it´s beeing too cold I went back home again
Hug Britt
Wonder how far he will get until he starts to miss his mommy... but I have no doubt the poor teddy would run away from his companion at once, if only he could... (LOL) What an adorable scene!

But where is he going to?;D Sweet! My fav mouse with the cutest teddy-bear!:)
ReplyDeleteI did a few times, but every time the adventure got quite boring after half an hour, or even less, so I turned back and I don't think my mother did ever even notice my runaway. :D

ReplyDeleteOh the poor little guy, nobody loves him, so he takes his trusted friend along and is going to look for a better home :-(
ReplyDeleteI suppose mom will arrest him shortly!
teeeeheeee! Too cute :)! I ran away once. 1/2 a day till I was hungry then I crawled back home :):)
ReplyDeleteHILARIOUS!!! my experience wasn't quite as cute XD i LOVe all your concepts!!!! and your creations ;)
ReplyDeletesoooo cute! I ran away from home once- but since we played outdoors most of the summer days when I was little my Mom did not know I had "run away" and I got tired of waiting for her to come find me and went back home without anyone ever knowing I had run away- lol!!!
ReplyDeleteKristy, your adorable little guy's face hints at the uncertainty of his decision to run away. I never made it past briefly considering the act. The very thought of not having immediate access to a toilet put the nix on any runaway plans.
ReplyDeleteI hope your little runaway runs right over to my place! I would take very good care of him and let him call his real mommy anytime he wished! :D
