I had started making some little fishing accessories for a commission which ended up having to be canceled, so I went ahead and made a little raccoon for the set. He'll be available for sale later tonight.
I'd like to thank a couple people who's tutorials helped me tremendously. The first person is Kiva Atkinson (I used her "rainbow trout dinner" tutorial at CDHM), and the second person is Vicky Guile (I used her basket tutorial in the August AIM magazine). Though mine are far from perfect, I'd hate to think what they would look like if I didn't have these tutorials to refer to.

Bellissimo, i tuoi capolavori ci lasciano senza parole
ReplyDeleteThe fishing went well as I see :) Love the whole scene! and the worms LOL!
ReplyDeleteKristy,
ReplyDeleteHe is just wonderful!!! I am so impressed with your fish. They are very Kivaish. :-) The basket looks perfect to me. I love this little set.
I was just outside and there are two raccoons out there. They didn't even run from me. I was just 5 feet away.
Thank you so much Alma e Lia, Ewa and Catherine.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yes worms Ewa (yuk!)
Catherine, to call my fish "Kivaish" is the best compliment I could get, but kind of an insult for Kiva, hahaha. Thank you!
Awwww, I wish we had raccoons nearby. Leave a raw egg out for them, they'll suck all the insides out and leave an empty, hollow shell for you the next morning.
Parece que tendrá una buena cena. Me gusta muchó cómo has hecho este mapache pescador. Todos los complementos están perfectos. Y el detalle de los gusanos.
ReplyDeleteBesos Clara
Muchas gracias Clara!
besitos ascension

ReplyDeleteLovely!!!
ReplyDeleteOk..this is a REALLY cute set. Mmmm...where can I use a trout fishing racoon...? I see you're putting him on Etsy but, somehow, I feel like this little guy needs an Auction, no?
ReplyDeleteOh what a cute cute set!!! I LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Karin
Magic - Kristy, your little critters can almost talk, they're so full of character!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thank you so much everybody. Tabs-I don't have an etsy shop, lol. But I just put him on my website, cdhm, oh and also on my "for sale" page here. But he's no longer available, I'm shipping him to his new home today. I'll make some different fishermen eventually - it was fun to make! :)
ReplyDeleteAch..my silly mistake. Anyways, looks like he found a home rather quickly. Not at all surprised!
ReplyDeleteYour fishes and basket turned out really well!! 1st try??? Mr Raccoon is the cutest :):) Did you have a tough time trying to balance him? :)
ReplyDeleteYour set is so cute! And the raccoon is so lifelike. Love them all!
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan & Jean! :)
ReplyDeleteSans, yep, first try! Hopefully the next time around will be easier. He wasn't so hard to balance since he's sitting on his little behind, lol. Standing and holding the pole and net might have been a bit more tricky.
Was so busy with the fundraiser never got your email till it was too late! But so very cute I have to say!
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fishies and the worms AND the pole and net are super, Kristy!!! Pure lurve!!!!
ReplyDeleteDeanna, I'll make you a special guy anyway so no worries.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kiva! Coonie gets a "lurve" from Kiva - whoohooo! :)
OH NO! I was only 7 days at the Baltic Sea - and what happened...???!!! A new racoon! And he is already sold (no wonder - he is so absolutely SWEET!)- I'll try not to cry my eyes out.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for your nice wishes, Kristy. I've had a wonderful time.
Kristy-he's so adorable! Your fish are fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much Kim and Andrea!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, looking forward to some photos of your trip, so glad you had a nice time. :)
