KRISTY'S MINI MENAGERIE

Hello and welcome, anybody who may come across this little blog of mine! I've just started this blog, and plan on focusing on miniatures, animals, and miniature animals. However, I'm also hoping it can be a fun place to talk about just about anything. We'll see.........

Swingin' Bunny

I've been a blog neglector recently but I was busy with all those batty bat lovers out there who asked me to make more bats. And I've just finished this latest order for a bunny on a swing (in motion with ears trailing behind, lol). And because she's such a good customer, I made a little something extra for her. I know she wanted a little bluebird for her latest project, but as some of you may already know, I try to avoid the birds, lol. I guess I just don't like working with feathers. Big PITA!

  16. Thank you so much everyone!! I wasn't sure how I was going to make the ropes - they had to be firm so that they could stay in swing mode, lol. In case anybody is interested in making miniature rope that can be "posed" in different ways, I simply brushed glue on some very fine beading wire, and then wrapped some tan colored (3 strand) embroidery thread around it.

  19. That's a great idea for miniature ropes that need to look under tension, Kristy. I love the bluebird and I adore the little bunny -- especially the photo which includes your fingers, because it looks like you're giving him a giant but gentle push :)

I want to go ooooooosh-oooooooshing with the bunny :). I feel like I know all your animals. I see a pic on your blog and they become so real in my mind and I know immediately how they look like in real life :). Ab fab as usual! :):):).

I swear I only read this post today (how did I miss it? did you post it after you have saved it for a few days?) so the whole blue bird thing is pure coincidence.
