Took a small break from commission orders to make this little vampire bat. I've been itching to make some wings using liquid clay and wire, so I made Vlad here to get it out of my system for a while. Now back to commissions for me.

ReplyDeleteKristy, He is so adorable!!! What a little guy to be sooooo cute!! I adore your animals and how much character you manage to create out of your clay!
ReplyDeleteThank you everybody! He was sort of an experiment for me (making wings and fangs) lol. The little sucker ;) is already gone - I hope his little wings can carry him all the way to Norway. I'll make some more little bats hopefully soon. Catherine, should I try to make one of those Gremlin Bats, LOL. Catherine sent me a picture of one. You guys have to google it, what a silly looking creature they are.
ReplyDeleteAnd once again, thank you sooooooo much for the kind comments!! HUGS

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you and mucho gracias!!! :) I really didn't think he'd be very popular, but I'm really going to have to make some more. Now that I know a little better what I'm doing, hopefully they'll be an improved version and it won't take me so darn long (I think I spent an entire day just trying different wings, lol).
ReplyDeleteDeanna - why am I not surprised you had a bat? lol I think they're super cool, the only animal I know that has wings (if you don't count birds and insects).
Fiver you crack me up...I just LOVE him :-)
ReplyDeleteI love bats and we plan on building a bat house in our garden to attract some.
E-V-I-L !!!! And don't we all just love the bad guys :). I LOVE HIM!
ReplyDeleteI like how Christel said your little ones always tug at our heartstrings . That is so true and especially so when you are holding him/her/it on your hand.
Kristy, your work looks great in these pics but they are bloody freaking amazingly awesome up close and personal.
