I just finished this little one. Remember when I said it's hard to make clothes from clay without it looking like plastic? Well, I figured that slickers and galoshes are close enough to plastic that it might actually look okay, LOL.
Actually I came up with this one when I saw a little toddler in the rain all dressed up in his raincoat, hat and boots....talk about CUTE!!!
Absolutely brilliant, Kristy!!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable, love it!

That raincoat is just perfect, love the little creature too!
ReplyDeleteSo nice and so little, how can you do that. Adorable. I like the mouse very match.

He is lovely I love his little outfit adorable.
ReplyDeleteHe is cute!!!
ReplyDeleteIf that toddler had known what you do...He/she would have followed you home. :-)
Hey, this cutie is wearing the typical and common costume of northern Germany, a real must-have on the beaches of the North Sea. We call that (sorry, 1:1-translation) Friesian Mink - never say we don't have a sense of humour around here... ;O) Lovely a always, you can even put a smile in a lousy rainy day...
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Birgit
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteBye Fabiola
His clothes are right for the spring's rain! Fantastic!:)
ReplyDeleteAWWW, Kristy, you've done it again! He's adorable!
ReplyDelete(Have you seen the boots for toddlers that have green frog's eyes sticking up on their toes? So cute!)
Too cute, Kristy...he'd fit right in in Hawaii, too...it's been windy and wet.
ReplyDeleteHe is sooooo cute! I hope, you have some cookies and a hot chocolate for him. He'll be very hungry after playing in the rain. LOL Andrea
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteDaydreamer, NO!!! I haven't seen the boots with frog eyes but how cute is that!!???
He'd fit right in here in Portland too. In case I haven't mentioned it enough already, it rains A TON here, lol.
I think I might try making something a little similar next - a dalmation puppy in a fireman's outfit. It will be hard trying to make those little spots though, hmmm, not sure how or if I can do it. But no matter, it will be fun just to try it. :-D
Thanks again all of you. Many mini hugs!!!!
He is such a cutie Kristy !!! I nearly hear him splashing through the mud, coming in with a face full of mud:-)
ReplyDeleteOohh... your little cute fellows always put a smile on my face. You always accomplish to let them look so adorable... and this one is also perfect again :-)
ReplyDeleteEs absolutamente genial!!!!
ReplyDeleteMe encanta como lo has vestido, maravilloso.
besitos ascension
soooooooo cute!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable Kristy and his raincoat is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteAwww he is absolutely adorable! :o) love it ♥
ReplyDeleteKristy, you can do no wrong :) on the topic of 'plasticky' clay, i have found that Kato gives a 'gloss' effect after bake, and FIMO remains matte....i like to switch clays depending on what i'm trying to achieve! also, translucent clay helps cut down on the 'plastic' effect, i hope i'm not rehashing old stuff! you know i <3 the technical bits :X
ReplyDeleteHey Cindy! Thanks for the tips. I really appreciate it!!!
ReplyDeleteI've tried all kinds of PC, except Kato. It's funny how they all have their own pros and cons. I've sort of narrowed it down to Fimo puppen / Fimo classic / and Cernit for the sculpts. For the clothes, I think Premo may be one of the best because even when it's rolled out to the very thinnest layer in the pasta machine, that sucker cures strong and flexible. The downside is that it's kind of soft and tacky stuff to work with and the colors are limited (which means you have to mix colors to make other colors which is kind of a pain). And you're right, matte is definitely better-no shiny clothes please, lol.
Thanks again Cindy, good to hear from you! xoxo
