Another walnut shell and mouse - didn't I tell you there were endless possibilities for a walnut shell, LOL. Well, it's not a real walnut of course, but they're pretty simple to make in clay.
I decided to make a little mushroom stand for this one since I know that the owner won't be displaying it inside a dollhouse. :-)

Too cute Kristy! He needed an mushroom/umbrella for outdoor bathing.
ReplyDeleteit is perfect it is not possible to make better
ReplyDeleteI love your little mouse in the bath, miniregards.
ReplyDeleteWhaddya mean, 'simple to make in clay'??? Not for me, dear lady!!
ReplyDeleteThis little bathtime scene is just fantastic - you've done it again!! :D
oh the cuteness!!!! I love his little mushroom stand! The rubber ducky is just too darned cute too- I don't know how you sculpt so tiny and still have soooo much character! Fab work Kristy :)
ReplyDeleteLove the duck. :D Great scene!:) LOOVE it!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteGlenda, seriously it's soooo simple! Maybe I should do a little tutorial, but I just wonder how many people would be interested in making a walnut shell out of clay? Hmmm, me thinks not too many, LOL!
Kristy, I have to agree with Glenda..simple?..well, you make it look simple, and I have made apples in mini too that were not simple..you'd think roll a little ball, put a lil twig and tiny leaf in the top...viola!....NOT! I love this little guy in his "simple" walnut shell..rubber ducky is too cute too. Hope you have a WONDERFUL Christmas Kristy, can't wait to see what you bring us in 2011! xoxox Christel
ReplyDeleteHow Cute!! Your creativity amazes me!! I love this little guy!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
*Jeannette
It is lovely !!! And I can think of a house that needs a little mousebaby in a bathtub...Bwahaahaa!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is so darling Kristy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your husband have a fab Christmas!!!!
Awww, thanks so much Christel - I hope you have a WONDERFUL Christmas as well. And I hope 2011 will be the best year yet for all of us!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeannette, but honestly your creativity (and all of you miniaturists and bear makers creativity) always amazes me! I'm so glad I started "blogging" - there's so much I would have missed.
Hahaha Elly!!! Thank you!! You KNOW I'll make more mice in tubs. ;)
Thank you so much Patty!!!! Same to you! Merry Christmas! I'm a little cheerier than before since I got most of my shopping done, LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh no! He is soooooo cute and again already adopted. I also have been to late for the mouse in the walnut sled. The time difference between our countries is NOT amusing. When you put something in your shop, the chances are great, that I'm sound asleep. But I don't give up my hope. I'm planing a scene with mice. When I start with it, I'll let you know, because one of these mice should come from your creative hands. Have a wonderful christmastime Andrea
ReplyDeleteI'm totally on Glenda's and Christel's side... for a magician like you it may be simple to do a walnut shell in clay, if I want to have one for a miniature project I have to keep my fingers crossed that a walnut's shell will stay in halves after meeting the nutcracker (LOL). As usual I love your little mouse, the amount of details you've put in this scene is amazing.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Birgit
Walnut shell easy? DITTO. Do a tutorial and let us poor mortals in on the secret, likewise your beautiful critters. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I just love this one! The little duck is wonderful, and the sponge. :)
ReplyDeleteMaia
OH MY!!!! Too cute....=)
ReplyDeleteHe is sooo cute! I love his little sponge.
ReplyDeleteAaaw, Kristy you think of EVERYTHING! I love this little guy! The rubber ducky and the tiny Sponge too! Of Course there had to be a mushroom to bathe under.... how do you do it? He's perfect!
ReplyDeleteGosh, thank you so much everyone!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, this one is a Christmas present but I can't say to who because sometimes they visit my blog and it would ruin the surprise -shhhhh. But I think I like making mice best of all, so you know there will always be more mice to come.
LOL, you guys crack me up!!! I'm dead serious, there's nothing to the walnut shell. Ok, I'll try to do a tutorial (it will be my first one, so it should be interesting if not ridiculous), and then you'll see just how easy it is. It might have to wait until after Christmas though. Sheesh, seriously?? Do you guys REALLY want to know how I make a polymer clay walnut shell? It seems like such a silly "how to" project, LOL.
How sweet! Love the little mouse! There are even bubbles in the bath!!! Just precious!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathi! The little bubbles are easy to do as well. They are just some clear glass beads that were added to the last layer of resin. I think there are better way to make bubbles, but I don't know how.
ReplyDeleteSimplemente GENIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEs precioso, me encanto cuando hiciste con agua otro trabajo y este es una maravilla tambien, enhorabuena.
FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!!
