People in the miniature community, both artists and collectors, seem to be unusually kind and friendly. But I was blown away by a recent customer of mine. She actually paid me more than what I was asking, and told me she thought that what she paid was more fair a price than what I was asking. Can you believe that?? WOW! So I wanted to give a little something to this special person. He's not much, in fact he's very tiny, but I hope it will put a smile on her face.
What a lovely thing for her to have done Kristy. I bet she was right about the price she thought you should have gotten too. Most of us under price our work.
ReplyDeleteThat itty bitty duckling sure put a smile on my face. I am sure she will love, love , love it!!!
What a cutie and a nice thing to do! It's always nice when people appreciate your work. You're very kind to give this little guy. :-)
ReplyDeleteKristy, when you say people in the miniature world are unusually kind and friendly, do you realize that you are a great big part of that?
ReplyDeleteI know this from personal experience, folks. Kristy is a gem!
For sure your costumer Hs to smile with this tiny and gorgeous duckling.
ReplyDeleteI am still smiling. It is so cute and pretty. Great work!
The miniature community is wonderful. It is true.
Thank you Catherine, Robin, Carolyn and Eva! I really feel it's such a silly little thing, but if she ever needs to commission another critter from me, I plan on giving her a very good deal.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, geez, you're embarrassing me, LOL. I'm not such a "gem" and you know it!
it's shamelessly adorable !! cute to the tiniest feather !!!it will make her happy. Rosanna
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosanna!!! :) I hope so.
ReplyDeleteKristy, that little chick is too cute, I will bet my bottom dollar she will smile from ear to ear :). So this is universal? Most people into miniatures are unusually sweet? I thought it's just me being ever so lucky to have met the nicest ones. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan! I really do think it's a universal thing. Unless you and I both have just been extremely lucky, LOL.
ReplyDeleteSeguro que le encanta, porque siendo tan chiquitin tiene doble valor.
ReplyDeleteEres muy atenta y seguro que se ira encantada.
besitos ascension
OH KRISTY!!!!! He is a love!!! No, he is a LURV!! And it is true- there are some collectors that think you deserve much more, and they take it upon themselves to pay more, without even asking!!!
ReplyDeleteThe miniature world is full of THE kindest, most generous people in the world, for real. I have never felt as connected to a bunch of people, ever. And most I have never met!! Hopefully, that will change very soon ;-). Love them all!!!!
awwww, he's adorable! Your customer is sure to be in love with him. I agree with Carolyn- I don't know you well, but you sure are a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteAh..what is love!!
ReplyDeleteGracias Ascension!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kiva, Kim and Lisette!!
Kiva, if you ever just say you love something of mine, I'll know it's not LURV worthy, LMAO!!
Kim, not really - I can be a big brat sometimes - ask Carolyn, ROFL.
Oh what a fab customer!!! :o)) That little duckling is just sooo adorable! Fantastically made and I am sure your customer will love him or her! :o))
ReplyDeleteMichelle :o)
Oh thank you Michelle! I know, can you believe it - what a sweetheart of a lady!
ReplyDeleteI had the same thing happen. Guess it shows we aren't pricing our handmades correctly.
ReplyDeleteMaybe so Leedra, though there are others who want to play the bargaining game, lol.
ReplyDeleteThis woman was an artist, and I think other artists especially understand and appreciate the time and work that goes into a piece. So I'm curious Leedra, was your customer also an artist?
I know for good your creations are unvaluable. That customer had a great acttowards you, and you did so towards him/her.
ReplyDeleteHugs my friend!!
Kristy, Would you mind giving me your email address? Kiva has mine and she might agree to email me yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Catherine XXX
Not at all! :) I would e-mail you my e-mail address, but I don't have your e-mail address, LOL. Kiva and Carolyn both have it.....OH...I think it's also in my profile if you click "contact me".
ReplyDeleteyou guys both are very very sweet people! awww~ it warms my heart :)
ReplyDeleteOH so cute
